Carmen Simms
Carmen Simms is the mother of daughter, LaTosha, and son, Michael, and she has one grandson, Anthony. Carmen has many nephews and nieces.
Carmen retired in March 2015 from AT&T with 30 years of service working in IT Project Management, Business Project Management, Sales Support and large business and residential customer service. Carmen also worked part time in security for 6 years.
Carmen has volunteered at the Chicago Food Depository as well as the Special Olympics and Child's Voice a listening and spoken language program for children with hearing loss. October 2015 Carmen participated and completed the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer in Joliet, Illinois. April 2014 she volunteered at the Paralympic Boccia Tournament held at Marquette Park in Chicago, Illinois. She has contributed to United Way via the Employee Giving Campaign. She contributes to the American Red Cross, St Jude Children's Research Hospital, Alzheimer's Association, American Cancer Society, The Hope Institute for Children and Families and the Epilepsy Foundation Greater Chicago . She also contributes to Donors Choose an online charity that assists Public school teachers in America get the supplies/tools they need to help their students in need.
She previously served as part of the welcome committee at the church she attends.
